Mount Gambier Student Rep

There were no nominations received at the election in 2024 and position of Mount Gambier Student Rep is currently vacant.

The USASA Board are taking expressions of interest for this position until 5pm Wednesday 16 April. It is hoped that a person can be appointed into the role by the last week of April and will receive training in early May.

What you need to know:

USASA Board

  • The USASA Board is a governance board that manages the affairs of the University of South Australia Student Association
  • The USASA Board is made up of 15 students (representative of campuses and certain cohorts of students), the General Manager, a Finance Adviser, and a Legal Adviser
  • The Board oversees the business of USASA, and is currently also working towards the creation of a new student association for Adelaide University with our equivalent body at the University of Adelaide (YouX).
  • The successful candidate will be appointed by the USASA Boar and the term will end on 31 December 2025.

Eligibility for the Role

You will be eligible for the role if you:

  • Are a current, onshore student with a Mount Gambier home campus
  • Have never been convicted of an indictable offence (nor an offence involving fraud/dishonesty)
  • Can pass a working with children check
  • Can attend Board Meetings (held in the last Tuesday of every month from 6pm-8pm via Microsoft Teams)
