A day in the life of a student rep
As a member of the Student Board, your day-to-day work is diverse and can be tailored to suit your individual skills and talents. There are a number of responsibilities though that every Board member must complete: 
 
  • Attending and contributing to monthly Board meetings.
  • Writing monthly activity reports.
  • Seeking feedback from students of all demographics and understanding the issues important to them.
  • Attending Formal Inquiries, Academic Review Meetings, committees, working groups, and any other such decision-making body of the University that requires student representation.
  • Liaise with students, academic and professional staff in relation to the planning or implementation of student-based activities.
  • Participating in professional development opportunities for the benefit of your role.

Positions available
There are 14 student representative positions available:
  • President
  • Post Graduate
  • International
  • Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander
  • Metropolitan (2 per campus) & Regional Campus Reps (1 per campus)

Election Regulations

 
Student Elections Process
These positions are decided by UniSA student vote at elections in October.
Step 1: Submit your nomination between 11 & 22 September
Step 2: Attend mandatory workshop on 13 or 20 September (RSVP here)
Step 3: Elections 23-27 October

Students successfully elected to the USASA Board will be required to attend a USASA Board workshop on 23 & 24 January 2018.
