Why attend?
Suicide is the leading cause of death for Australians aged 15-44.
Studies show that 87% of young people are more likely to turn to friends or those they know well rather than seeking professional help.
By becoming a safeTALK-trained helper, you can be the key to connecting someone to the support they need.
safeTALK equips you to be more alert to someone thinking of suicide and better able to connect them with further help. Using a simple yet effective model, safeTALK empowers everyone to make a difference. With over 120,000 people attending each year, it’s the world’s fastest-growing suicide prevention skills training course.
You might recognize batyr from their strong presence on our campus and their amazing Being Herd workshops, which empower young people to use their voice and stories to support others. We're thrilled to partner with them to bring you this training.
Our president, Chloe, will be attending as the Community Support Resource (CSR) for the workshop. Having a CSR present throughout the workshop is essential to ensure that everyone feels safe and supported while engaging with the content. Chloe will be available for conversations and support before, during, and after the session, helping to create a welcoming and secure environment for all participants.
Don't miss this chance to make a difference!
Please note: Refunds are not available for non-attendance.
