WHAT DO YOU GET WHEN YOU MIX BRAINS, BANTER AND BAD DANCE MOVES? THIS COLLAB, OBVIOUSLY!!
The UniSA Psychology Society is all about mental wellbeing, human behaviour, and building a fun, supportive student community. The Comedy Club? They’re here to make sure we’re laughing through the chaos of uni life (and maybe at ourselves a little too).
Together, we’re bringing you a feel-good, no-pressure event that boosts your mood, gets your body moving, and gives your brain a break. Because honestly, what’s better for your mental health than a bit of Zumba and a whole lot of laughs?
Why Zumba? The Psychology of Movement:
-
Boosts dopamine and serotonin, improving mood and motivation
-
Reduces cortisol (aka your stress hormone)
-
Increases neuroplasticity ( great for learning and memory)
-
Promotes social bonding and connection (group therapy, anyone?)
-
Enhances mind-body awareness (a key component in emotional regulation)
And when you add comedy? You're getting a double dose of positive effect and emotion regulation... Come for the puns, stay for the endorphins!
You don’t need dance skills, just wear comfy clothes, bring water, and get ready to laugh with us.
