Sasha Yildirimci

My name is Sasha, and I’m excited to be running for NUS Delegate with UNITE!

UNITE is a dynamic team of passionate student leaders who genuinely care about making sure your voice is heard. We’ve been working hard to improve financial support, create better student spaces, and ensure campus life is fun, safe, and welcoming for everyone.

As a third-year Laboratory Medicine and international student, I understand how tough it can be to manage placements, coursework, and adjusting to life in a new country. That’s why I’m eager to advocate for solutions that make student life easier and more enjoyable for all of us.

If elected, I’ll focus on:
- Pushing for paid placements or lower tuition fees during placement semesters.
- Expanding scholarships, especially for international students.
- Lightening workloads during placements by advocating for better course structures.
- Improving mental health services with more accessible and tailored support.
- Making study spaces more comfortable and effective for focused learning.
- Creating stronger peer support programs and study groups to help students connect and succeed together.

I’m passionate about building a more inclusive and supportive university community, where all students feel empowered to succeed both academically and socially. Let’s work together to create a better campus experience for everyone!
