Hi, my name is Jade Hancock and I’m running with UNITE to be a NUS Delegate for UniSA.
The National Union of Students is the peak representative body for students in Australia,
representing over a million students Australia wide. The NUS represents members including USASA
to the government and focuses on issues facing students and student associations on a national
level.
Delegates from UniSA are entitled to take their votes to the National Conference held in December
each year. This year has seen the need for an active and vocal National Union and UNITE has
achieved this through being an active participant, ensuring the needs of students at UniSA are
brought under the spotlight.
Voting UNITE for NUS means:
- A strong and united voice at the National Conference
- UniSA delegates who will stand up for the interests of all students
- Active participants in the operations of the National Union throughout the year
- Students who will raise our voices against any government attacks on students and higher
education
- Delegates who will be genuinely consultative in our actions representing the student body
A vote for UNITE is a vote for a strong and relevant NUS.
