Husan Ara

My name is Husan Ara, and I am running for the Mawson Lakes Undergraduate Student Representative with UNITE. UNITE is a passionate and diverse team of experienced student leaders, focused on ensuring your voice is represented and acknowledged. This year, we’ve been advocating for: Expanding financial support for students during the cost of living crisis. Fighting for a Student Food Pantry on campus. New Pool, Foosball, and Arcade Machines in Student Spaces. Supporting our clubs and student community while bringing life back to campus with bigger and better USASA events. Advocating for more representation for online students within USASA and the University. Promoting student safety on campus. Representing UniSA students' voices during the merger.

I am running for this position to help every student feel supported and represented. With leadership experience from the Senior School Leadership Team and the Australian Air Force Cadets, I am committed to advocating for our diverse community. My goals include increasing financial support, enhancing campus safety, and creating a more dynamic campus life through initiatives like a Student Food Pantry and improved student spaces. I aim to amplify the voices of both on-campus and online students in decisions that impact their university experience. Together with UNITE, I hope to foster a more inclusive and engaging campus environment.
