Husan Ara

My name is Husan Ara, and I am running for the Mawson Lakes Student Representative with UNITE. UNITE is a passionate and diverse team of experienced student leaders, committed to ensuring your voice is considered and valued. This year, we’ve been advocating for: Expanding financial support for students during the cost of living crisis. Fighting for a Student Food Pantry on campus. New Pool, Foosball, and Arcade Machines in Student Spaces. Supporting our clubs and student community while working to bring life back to campus with bigger and better USASA events. Advocating for more representation for online students within USASA and the University. Promoting safety for all students when arriving, leaving, or on campus. Ensuring UniSA students' voices are represented during the merger.

I am passionate about fostering a supportive, inclusive campus where every student feels heard. With my experience in leadership roles, including as a Senior School Leadership Team Representative and involvement in student initiatives, I am dedicated to advocating for student needs. My goals include expanding academic and career support, enhancing campus facilities, and promoting a safe, vibrant campus life. Collaborating with the UNITE team, I aim to contribute to making our university experience as enriching as possible, and I look forward to addressing your concerns.
