Sasha Yildirimci

My name is Sasha, and I’m excited to be running for City East Representative with UNITE!

UNITE is a passionate and diverse group of student leaders who are here to make sure your voice is heard. We’ve been working on improving student spaces, bringing more fun back to campus, and ensuring everyone feels safe and included.

As a third-year Laboratory Medicine student at City East, I understand the pressures we face—from managing placements to balancing heavy workloads and responsibilities off campus. I’m here to help make things a little easier for all of us.

If elected, I want to advocate for:
- Enhancing mental health support services by increasing the number of counsellors available on campus.
- Reducing the assessment load during placements to prevent burnout.
- Improving study spaces at City East, making them more comfortable and better suited for focused learning.
- Expanding peer support programs and study groups to foster a more connected learning environment.
- Organising more events and workshops to help build a stronger, more connected community.

I’m committed to making City East a place where students can thrive—both academically and socially. Together, we can create a more supportive and vibrant campus experience!
