Sasha Yildirimci

My name is Sasha, and I’m excited to be running for International Student Representative with UNITE!

UNITE is a passionate and diverse team that truly listens to what students want and need. We’ve been working hard to expand financial support, bring more life and fun back to campus, and make sure everyone feels safe and welcome.

As a third-year Laboratory Medicine and international student, I know the challenges we face—whether it’s managing studies, placements, or adjusting to life in Australia.

If I’m elected, I’ll focus on:
- Advocating for paid placements or reduced tuition fees during placement semesters.
- Creating more scholarship opportunities for international students.
- Finding ways to reduce academic pressure, especially during placements.
- Supporting international student wellbeing by promoting tailored mental health services.
- Ensuring placement environments are safe and free from toxic workplaces.

I’m dedicated to making sure all international students feel supported, heard, and valued. Together, we can create a welcoming, stress-free community where we can all succeed!
