My name is Dasuni, and I am running for International Student Representative with UNITE.

UNITE is a passionate and diverse team of experienced student leaders committed to amplifying student voices.

This year, we’ve worked to advocate for:

  • Expanding financial support during the cost-of-living crisis.
  • Establishing a Student Food Pantry on campus.
  • Introducing new pool tables, foosball, and arcade machines in student spaces.
  • Supporting clubs and student communities while bringing bigger and better USASA events to campus.
  • Amplifying the voices of online students within USASA and the University.
  • Promoting campus safety for all students.

As an international student, I understand the unique challenges we face. As your representative, my goal is to:

  • Advocate for stronger support services, including better access to housing and financial resources.
  • To strengthen that international students’ concerns are prioritized in the UniSA and University of Adelaide merger.
  • Promote greater international student representation in university decision-making processes.
  • Work toward creating more inclusive programs and events that foster a sense of community.

Additionally, I aim to:

  • Advocate for more scholarships and professional development opportunities tailored to international students.
  • Push for improved wellness services and dedicated study spaces that meet the needs of international students.

Together, we can continue building a better university experience for all. Your vote will help us keep moving toward these objectives.
