Edwin Raji John

My name is Edwin John, and I am running for International Student Representative with UNITE. As the President of the Indian Student Assembly of South Australia and someone who has closely supported international students, I am passionate about making sure that our voices are heard and represented at all levels.

This year we’ve been advocating for:
- Expanding financial support for students during the cost of living crisis.
- Fighting for a Student Food Pantry on campus.
- New Pool, Foosball, and Arcade Machines in Student Spaces.
- Supporting our clubs and student community, while fighting to bring life back to campus with bigger and better USASA events.
- Fighting for more of a say for online students within USASA and the University's .
- Ensuring UniSA students’ voices are heard during the merger.

As an international student myself, I understand the unique challenges we face, from adjusting to a new culture to managing academic pressures and financial constraints. Over the years, I’ve worked on creating inclusive events and spaces that bring students together, making sure no one feels left behind.

I am running because I want to continue advocating for the international student community, ensuring we have the support and resources needed to thrive. Whether it's academic assistance, social opportunities, or fighting for better student welfare, I am committed to being your voice at UniSA. With your support, I can work to create an even more inclusive, supportive environment for all international students.
