As a fellow postgraduate student, I understand the unique challenges we face in balancing academic, personal, and professional commitments. I am running for the position of Postgraduate Student Representative to prioritize student voice and student needs. One of my primary goals is to advocate for increased financial support, such as scholarships and bursaries tailored specifically to postgraduate students, to alleviate the financial stress many of us experience. I will also work to enhance academic and research opportunities by pushing for more accessible resources, funding, and platforms for collaboration across disciplines. Building a strong sense of community is another priority—postgraduate study can often feel isolating, and I believe we need more initiatives that promote mental health, inclusivity, and well-being. This includes organizing events and support networks that bring postgraduates together and ensure no one feels alone in their journey. Additionally, I will advocate for career development and networking opportunities that connect us with industry professionals and prepare us for our future careers. Postgraduate study is not just about academic achievement but also about building the right skills and networks for professional success. If elected, I will be committed to representing your concerns and working tirelessly to create a more supportive, inclusive, and empowering environment for all postgraduate students at UniSA. I ask for your support in making this vision a reality.
