My name is Dasuni, and I am running for Postgraduate Student Representative with UNITE.

UNITE is a passionate and diverse team of experienced student leaders committed to amplifying student voices.

This year, we’ve focused on advocating for:

  • Expanding financial support for students during the cost-of-living crisis.
  • Fighting for a Student Food Pantry on campus.
  • Introducing new pool tables, foosball, and arcade machines in student spaces.
  • Supporting our clubs and student community with bigger and better USASA events.
  • Amplifying the voices of online students within USASA and the University.
  • Promoting safety for all students when arriving, leaving, or on campus.

A key focus of my campaign is to work toward ensuring postgraduate students have a strong voice in the UniSA and University of Adelaide merger. As your representative, I aim to:

  • Advocate for transparency and regular consultation with postgraduate students.
  • Support the integrity of UniSA’s postgraduate programs and the value of our degrees.
  • Promote equitable access to resources and services across both campuses.

Beyond the merger, my goals include:

  • Expanding opportunities by advocating for more scholarships, research funding, and tailored professional development.
  • Strengthening postgraduate representation in university decision-making processes.
  • Advocating for better facilities, including dedicated study spaces and wellness services.

Together with the team, we have been working to create a better university experience, and your vote will help us continue to pursue these goals.
