My name is Frederic Fan and I am running for President with REFORM.
REFORM is a new team for this year and our aim is to reform our USASA Board. The USASA Board has been solely governed by UNITE for so long, it is crucial to have different voices on USASA Board and we believe NOW is the best time for a change.
We are passionate and fresh; we will be your strong voices on USASA and we will try our best to satisfy your demands. Most importantly, we think USASA should be the place to prioritise student services and welfare rather than a pre-career training for future politicians.
In 2025, the REFORM team and I will be committed to:
- Ensuring students’ voices are heard during the uni merger process,
- Fighting against potential staff cuts to secure our education quality,
- Fighting to keep face to face learning after the uni merger,
- Fighting for more budget for USASA Clubs,
- Fighting for more employment opportunities,
- Fighting for mature students’ rights,
- Advocating for fairer scholarship opportunities for international students,
- Fighting for equal support services for the students of disadvantaged backgrounds,
- Establishing USASA Food Pantry Program to take real actions to address the current cost of living crisis,
USASA is a platform where every student’s voice can be heard, and if elected, I will work tirelessly to secure more resources and policy improvements, ensuring every student has the support they need to thrive.
