Debating Society

Debating Society - This club welcomes all members who are interested in debating around SA to join.

About us

"Freedom is hammered out on the anvil of discussion, dissent, and debate." - Hubert Humphrey

This club serves as a dynamic forum for individuals who are passionate about exploring diverse viewpoints, mastering effective communication, and refining their skills in constructing and presenting logical arguments.

We typically hold regular meetings, workshops, and practice sessions to facilitate the development of debate skills. During these activities, members engage in lively debates on various subjects, work on argumentation techniques, practice impromptu speaking, and learn how to structure coherent speeches.

Our club participate in many debate competitions, where members have the opportunity to showcase their skills, engage with other debaters, and receive constructive feedback from judges. Competitions foster healthy competition, encourage self-improvement, and provide a platform to apply learned techniques in a real-world context.

Membership is free! Welcome all students interested in debating around South Australia to join and spread your words to the world.

Make sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay up-to-date with our events and tournament!
