About us

WELCOME TO THE OFFICIAL UNISA PSYCHOLOGY SOCIETY- 2023 Winner of USASA  peoples choice award! ✨️
Oh, you thought this would be an academic group only for people studying Psychology to get together and discuss theory? I'm a-freud not! (We will show ourselves out...).
We welcome absolutely anyone to join our society no matter what degree you are studying!! If you have any interest in Psychology, Neuroscience, social sciences, social work, the human brain or you really just want to make some connections, attend a few cool events and have some fun outside of your studies, feel free to join us. We would love to have you!
Our executive committee is made up of a very close group of current Psych students of all ages and stages of our degrees, both online and on campus and a mixture of full and part-time. We meet weekly and hold regular fun, casual events throughout the year as well as some more formal networking professional development kind of activities. Keep an eye out on our socials for all the most recent updates and information.
Some reasons why we think you should become a member of our society:
🟥  Come along to our social events and get to know your peers outside of the classroom (this includes our 'virtual' catchups for online students)
🟧  Be the first to learn about new academic and research opportunities both within the Uni and external
🟨  Enhance your career through industry and networking events, and informal catchups
🟩  Be a part of a community where you feel supported, listened to and welcomed no matter how you choose to identify, where you come from, neurodivergent or neurotypical, first nations or ally, or anything else which makes you uniquely you

Join our Facebook Group, Discord and Instagram to keep updated with events, news, advice, and networking.

The University of South Australia Student Association acknowledges the Kaurna, Boandik and Barngarla First Nations People as the traditional custodians of the unceded lands now home to the University of South Australia’s campuses in Adelaide, Mount Gambier and Whyalla. We respectfully acknowledge their Ancestors and Elders, past, present and emerging. We also acknowledge the Traditional Custodians and their Ancestors of the lands and waters across Australia. It was and always will be Aboriginal land.
