Get to know one of our USASA Club members, Adarsh Pratap Singh. Read on to find out what their role entails and how you can be a part of the unique and wonderful things their club does.
1. What club are you in? Commerce Student Society
2. Are there any additional clubs that you are involved with?

3. What are you studying? Did it influence the club you chose to join?
I am currently pursuing Masters of Business Administration (Finance). My study did influence me to join the club.
4. Why did you join this club?
To engage with students and enjoy the university life with like minded people. I chose this club to share my financial knowledge with all the students and get to learn from them as well. I wanted to help students in advancing their career and encouraging them to keep learning and developing skills which they can use in their life and career.
5. What's your role on the club executive? Explain.
To Co-ordinate with the students and other industry experts via organising professional and social events. To run 'Breakfast talk on Stocks' for the students who are interested in Stocks and Cryptos.
6. What's the best thing about being a part of a club?
The best thing about being a part of Commerce Student Society is the professionalism. Professional behaviour is highly appreciated in any finance firm. CSS operates in a very professional way but also we have got our chilling days where we focus only on being humorous and funny. Secondly, you get to meet lots of industry experts and get to know about how you can advance your career. CSS runs many workshops and events like networking panel, knowledge sharing sessions which helps you to build your confidence while making lots of friends in your journey.
7. How can other students get involved in your club?
We are on every major social platform and are pretty active. Our social media team always keeps an eye on the students' messages. We operate under the name Commerce Student Society on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. Students just have to ping us on any of our social or any of executives' social media to get involved with us.
8. Have you gained new friends or made new connections through being in a club?
Yes indeed! I have personally gained a lots of connections and friends after being a part of CSS.
9. What achievement are you most proud of?
I am proud of all our events which were very successful. Being a new club, we managed to gain 120+ members in first 4 months which is awesome. I am proud of Breakfast Talk on Stocks, which has been running very smoothly and students have shown really good interest in it by coming every week to the session and spending their 2-3 hours of time to gain some knowledge. I am proud of how our clubs operate, all the executives try to give their best and work in a team to make each event successful.
10. What colour best represents your personality and why?
Red since it symbolises strength, willpower, leadership and courage.
11. What would you like to get out of being in a club?
I like to learn more about how effectively and efficiently I can engage with other people. I would like to learn more about the best way we can represent ourselves in any professional space and lastly, I would like to develop a strong leadership quality to empower and encourage people.
