2. What are your club's main goals and aims?

  • Connecting Vietnamese students though our club’s social events
  • Providing support for UniSA Vietnamese students during their study at the university
  • Attracting young talents
  • Engage international friends in Vietnamese culture

3. What have been some of your clubs biggest achievements?

Through 10 years of consistent operation, VSS has arrived at many meaningful milestones:

  • USASA Club Award Winner in 2017 and 2019
  • Held more than 50 events in the past 10 years
  • Established strong ties to more than 100 talented board members in the last decade
  • Contributed to organising 2013, 2015, 2017 Vietfest, which is the biggest Vietnamese cultural festival in Adelaide in terms of the number of attendants and publicity

4. What is your club looking forward to this year?

In 2021, VSS continued to organise social events, including multiple fun gatherings and a series of mental health, wellness workshops in SP2 and SP5. The details of our upcoming events are as provided:

  • Easter Hunt (11/4)
  • SP2 Mental Health Workshops (2/5 & 16/5)
  • SP5 Welcome Party (25/7)
  • SP5 Family Gathering PaintBalls (1/08)
  • SP5 Mental Health Workshops (15/8 & 29/8)
  • VSS Camping (25-26/9)

5. How can students get involved in your club?

UniSA and non-UniSA students could get involved in VSS by attending our social events or volunteering themselves to become board members of VSS. VSS uses Facebook, Instagram, USASA websites and branded monthly newsletter to inform students about the latest updates of the club’s social events and recruitment of bo
ard members.

6. What's the best thing about your club?

VSS centres around creating happy memories, and so forth strengthening bonds between members of our community. A lot of people within VSS circle have found for themselves many life-long friends, which last even after they graduate from university.

7. If you had no limits on budget or space what would be your dream club event?

If VSS had no limits on budget, we would wish to organise more fund-raising events to financially support the underprivileged students in Vietnam who wish to continue their study.

8. Is there anything else you would like to share that your club has to offer?

In 2021, VSS will introduce several new features to the club’s membership program, including exclusive discounts and academic support. Exclusive discounts are available when members buy VSS branded merchandise or make purchases at our club’s partnered stores and service providers. VSS membership program also offers associated members contacts to course-specific seniors, of whom they could ask for academic support.
